  • Urgent request for science teachers for Ghana
    Philip Harris International & itec ltd have been successful in their bid to re-equip 110 Science Resource Centres (SRC's) in Ghana. As part of this project there is a need to train large numbers of Secondary Science teachers in Biology, Chemistry and Physics subject specialisms with some ICT, plus Laboratory assistants/technicians in a series of 4 week training programmes in August 2008. Assume availability from last week in July until Aug 31st.

    The recent CONASTA 56/ICASE 2007 WorldSTE conference held in Perth, 8-12 July 2007, generated the Perth Declaration on Science and Technology Education. The delegates at this conference agreed that urgent action is required to address the current issues involving science, technology, science teaching and learning and the engagement of students in science.
