The 2011 National Science Teachers Summer School (NSTSS)

The 2011 NSTSS will be held on the campus of the Australian National University, Canberra from Sunday 9 January to Friday 14 January 2011.

A draft program is provided on this page for your information. This will be updated as more activities are confirmed.

The NSTSS is made possible through the collaboration of the Australian National University (ANU), the University of Canberra (UC), the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) and the Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA).  It is designed to provide teachers of science unique experiences in science and science education in order to stimulate their passion for science and mathematics and, in turn, enhance their teaching of science to their students.

Teachers, who are at least teaching science half time in their school, are eligible to apply on the application form provide on this page.

The NSTSS will pay for economy airfares to and from Canberra, accommodation for 5 nights at Ursula Hall on the ANU campus, all excursion travel and all meals whilst on the NSTSS (but not including the Thursday evening meal).

Applications close on Thursday 30 September 2010. Successful applicants will be notified by email by Friday 5 October 2010.
