What’s in the 2010 National Science Week schools kit?
- A FREE copy of the ASTA teacher resource book Australian Biodiversity. This book is packed with information, activities, experiments, projects and challenges for students from preschool through to Year 12. Take a look and plan a fantastic biodiversity science event for your class or school! Additional copies are available for purchase from ASTA or can be downloaded from the ASTA website www.asta.edu.au
- What’s On flyer. Information on National Science Week events taking place in your state or territory, as well as National events you can be a part of.
- Teacher resource booklets on the Bush Blitz Species Discovery program and the Maclean’s Bright Sparks activity booklet. Both have fantastic competitions for schools to enter.
- The Big Sleep Survey 2010. During Science Week encourage your students to go on line at www.sleepsurvey.net.au and to answer questions about their sleep habits and to also complete a ‘sleep diary’ for a week! This information will be used by sleep researchers in a real research project!
