Expressions of Interest - Professional Standards Writing Group and Consultation Group
ASTA has been engaged by Teaching Australia to develop draft descriptors of practice in order to test the validity and usefulness of the capabilities described in the draft professional standards for advanced teaching of science developed by Teaching Australia.
The work will involve using the ASTA National Professional Standards for Highly Accomplished Teachers of Science as a template for this writing and refreshing the ASTA standards in the process.
A Writing Team of up to 10 writers is being sought as well as a Consultation Group of up to 30 science educators from all levels of schooling and education sectors.
Closing date for Expressions of Interest for the Writing Team is Friday 12 September 2008.
Closing date for Expressions of Interest for the Consultation Group is Friday 10 October 2008.
