"The Australian Science Festival is back in the first two weeks of August - 2 to 15. We have managed to squeeze every angle to allow your students the opportunity to really experience science at its best!

There are top-class science performers with a variety of shows to choose from ready to come right to your school (within approximately half an hour of Canberra) from Monday to Wednesday of both weeks, performing curriculum relevant school shows for various age groups. ActewAGL’s Science Circuit will provide an exciting and entertaining learning experience guaranteed to have your students talking science for days – if not the rest of their lives. There are shows available for all ages on a variety of topics so book in early to ensure the performance of your choice. Make a booking online or call 02 6207 5901 to speak to our bookings officer.
We also have plenty of other impressive experiences for students as well, open to both local and interstate students. On Thursday and Friday each week there will be more science shows performed at CSIRO Discovery, the John Curtin School of Medical Research (ANU) and the Academy of Science Shine Dome. The Shine Dome will also play host to ActewAGL’s Amazing World of Science, which in 2010 will include a Biodiversity Walkway through its uniquely-shaped hallways.

The Australian Science Festival has managed to arrange a number of rare opportunities for students to experience some of Canberra’s leading institutions first hand. 'Mini-degrees' are available from ADFA, CSIRO, CIT, ANU and AIE for your students to get a glimpse of world-leading science and work with professionals across a variety of fields. Most mini-degrees have small capacities in order to allow a true intimate learning experience in this unique environment, so you will need to get in fast to secure your places. Call 6207 5901 to discuss. On top of this, we have loads of open days and Australian Science Festival-only tours and workshops across a number of sites including the National Zoo and Aquarium, Reptile Sanctuary, Arboretum and CEA Technologies.

A day-by-day list of all shows and activities on during the Australian Science Festival is available upon request - contact us. Please browse our website for an overview of activities, or call Felicity on 02 6207 5901 for more information. We can help you to put together a full-day (or two!) itinerary of events across the full range to suit your age group and timetable."
