The Science Teacher’s Association of Tasmanian Inc (STAT) is a professional association for Tasmanian science educators from kindergarten to tertiary level. It is a non-profit professional association that exists for the support of science education in all its forms. The purpose and goal of STAT is to represent and connect science educators, promote the importance of science education for all, create and promote mutually beneficial science education partnerships and influence science policy on behalf of our members.

Science Teachers Associations of Victoria

Science Teachers Association of Victoria (STAV) provides leadership, support, programs and resources for all levels of education.  STAV represents the collective voice of all teachers of science in Victoria, and through ASTA. The primary function of STAV is to provide useful and accessible services to members. STAV also has a wider interest in promoting the interests of science teachers and the teaching of science in the state of Victoria, and has done so since its foundation in 1943.

The Science Teachers’ Association of Western Australia, known as STAWA, was established in 1944. STAWA is an independent association of Science Educators dedicated to promoting science and science teaching in Western Australia.

STAWA has grown to include Pre-service, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary teachers.

STAWA provides leadership in science education: promoting and sustaining, quality science teaching and learning. Our vision is to inspire quality science teaching and learning through effective leadership and advocacy, excellence in teacher professional learning, quality teaching and learning resources and quality engagement and enrichment opportunities for students.

Science Teachers Association of Queensland

The Science Teachers’ Association of Queensland is the professional association of teachers of science in Queensland. As a non-profit organisation we rely on funding from our membership, professional development conferences, and the generosity of sponsors in order to co-ordinate activities that support science education, teachers of science and students. Our members include teachers at primary, secondary and tertiary level, as well as others interested in supporting science education in Queensland. Activities of the organisation are undertaken through a small part-time staff, and the voluntary efforts of STAQ Office Bearers, Council, Members and supporters.

South Australian Science Teachers Association

The South Australian Science Teachers Association (SASTA) aim is ‘to promote and support the teaching of science in schools’, and ‘to foster the professional development of science teachers’. SASTA’s strength lies in its members and in the many highly committed educators who volunteer their time out of school hours to ensure that we continue to serve the needs of all teachers of science.

SASTA members are drawn from all education sectors, teaching all year levels across the state.
